In South Porcupine there was a pharmacy
that used to have a sign on its door
advertising "pills and things'
at Charlie see's drugstore.
Just what were these "things" he's advertising?
It depended what you wanted to score.
Charlie had a barrel in the alley
so you knew just where to go to get more!

The brave bootlegger-bandit
had the fastest boat from here to Connaught

Police don't understand it
How this outlaw never seems to get caught.
A stranger asked a minister
if he could watch his luggage
while the stranger was gone.
Police were all around the dock, patrolling
took one look at the old man and moved on.
Nobody suspected, especially not the minister,
he was sitting on a pile of crates
full of contraband, illegal alcohol
until it was already too late!

Tearing up the river
trying to get away from the cops.

this is one bootlegger
that you can't stop.
He was feeling kind of down.
Turned out the cops had found
a barrel that was loaded with booze.
Butch saw the police went
into Morrison's tent
to have a meal
Now there was no time to lose!
They thought they were the winners
but once they had their dinner
Picked the barrel up and found it was light.
There was a hole drilled in the bottom,
through the dock,
they thought they caught him
he stole the liquor back and flew out of sight!
